Course Overview

The early childhood sector in Australia has experienced massive growth over recent years, resulting in early childhood teacher shortages, and posing a risk to the education of many Australian children. In Victoria, for example, reports indicate that the State needs more that 10,000 more pre-school teachers to meet increased demand for early childhood education (Victoria University, 2023).

Early childhood education is significant for the growth and development of young children in any community. Access to good quality education and care in the early years stimulates children’s growth and helps them become active citizens. The NAPS Early Childhood Education program provides graduates with knowledge, skills and understanding that will equip them to provide quality early childhood education and care in different contexts.
